Master of Science in Sports Medicine from Georgia State University (1996).
Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Georgia State University (1991).
Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Science from University of Georgia (1989).


Marcus graduated Cum Laude from the University of Georgia in 1989 with a degree in Exercise and Sports Science.  He immediately was accepted into the Physical Therapy program at Georgia State University where he received his Physical Therapy degree and licensure in 1991.  Returning to Georgia State 2 years later, he pursued his interest in athletics with a Master’s degree in Sports Medicine.  Marcus volunteered as a Certified Athletic Trainer for Dunwoody, South Gwinnett, and Pope High Schools from 1993- 1998.

 

Marcus is currently employed as the clinic director for the Johnson Ferry Road location of Axiom Physical Therapy, where he offers 14 years of clinical experience in outpatient/orthopedic Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine.

 

His post-graduate certifications include Board certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedics by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties, Certified Athletic Trainer by the National Athletic Trainers Association, and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

 

Marcus practices Hop Gar Kung Fu, Shaolin and Tibetan Qi Gong, and Shamatha to gain further understanding of the human kinetic potential.
