Amanda J. Susten, MS, PT

Bachelor of Arts, Movement and Sports Science, Purdue University (1999)

Amanda is a native to the metro Atlanta area growing up in Stone Mountain, Georgia.  She attended Purdue University and played varsity softball on a scholarship.  While there, she was named an Academic All-American, the Outstanding Senior in her major of Movement and Sports Science, and graduated with honors and distinction in 1999.

 

Upon graduating from Purdue, she received her Masters in Physical Therapy from Texas Woman’s University in 2001.  After receiving her Master’s Degree, Amanda moved back to the Atlanta area where she began to work in the outpatient orthopedic setting.  She enjoys treating the shoulder, knee, ankle and spine.  Her treatment plans incorporate functional exercises to assist her patients in returning to their desired activities.  She is also interested in manual therapy and often takes continuing education courses in this field.  Amanda is currently studying to become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. 

 

Outside of work, Amanda enjoys spending time her husband, family and two cats.  She and her husband enjoy being active including working out at the gym, going to the rock climbing gym, and hiking.  Amanda also enjoys working with young athletes to develop their softball skills as a private instructor and is an active member of American Physical Therapy Association.

Amanda’s first child, Linsay Erin susten was born on 9/6 at 7:34am 7lb 10oz and 19.5 inches long. Below are some photos of the newest member of the Susten family.
