You Have Had Low Back Pain for 2 Weeks Now and It Isn’t Getting Any Better. What Do You Do Now? {Part 3}

low back pain Austin

In previous posts we mentioned that you have had 2 weeks of back pain. You finally got into to see the doctor. She offered you some pain meds or to get an MRI. When you brought up physical therapy as an option, your doctor hands you a list with 50 clinic names on it.

You begin by calling the first one on the list. Why not? Seems like a good place to start.  Someone answers the phone and first question they ask you “what insurance do you have?” They didn’t even ask you what kind of problem or injury you are having.

You rifle through your bag looking for your most up to date insurance card in hopes they accept your plan. They tell you the first opening they have is in 2 weeks. 2 weeks!!! But you are in a bunch of pain right now.

You schedule the appointment and have to wait 2 weeks to get an evaluation with a physical therapist. You show up on the day of the appointment to a very busy clinic that looks like a gym.

Your physical therapist is running 15 minutes late because they are busy seeing 2 other patients at the same time. You start wondering if you will get the attention for your injury that you deserve.

At Axiom Physiotherapy, you will never have to wait 2 weeks for an appointment. We can most likely get in the clinic that day or the next. We will never be late for your appointment to get started. You will always been seen one-one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in manual therapy.

We will follow up with you between appointment to make sure you are progressing well and welcome feedback on how you responded to previous treatment. You can text or call us at almost anytime and we will respond very quickly.
